Stars Projected Starting Lineup

Below is a look at what the Dallas Stars lineup will look like on opening night next week!

Left wing                               Center                                   Right wing

Alex debrincat                         Leon Draisailt                      Mitchell Marner

Gustav Nyquist                       Kevin Hayes                         Jake Guentzel

Sven Baertschi                         Philip Danault                       Connor Garland

Nic Petan                                 Lukas Sedlak                        Zack Kassian

Defenseman

Mark Giordano                   Kris Letang

Codi Ceci                             Darnell Nurse

Olli Maatta                           Dereck Forbort

Goaltenders

Ben Bishop

Samuel Montembault

The first power play unit will be : Leon Draisaitl, Mitch Marner, Alex debrincat, Marc Giordano and Kris Letang

The second power play unit will be : Kevin Hayes, Gustav Nyquist, Jake Guentzel, Cody Ceci and Darnell Nurse.

* The stars will lean heavily on that first unit to be productive. In the NHL last season Draisaitl Marner and Debrincat tallied up a total of 117 goals and Latang and Giordano tallied 33 goals so there is no doubt this is a dangerous Power Play.

This is probably the best line up the Stars have seen since Sylvain Charron took over as General Manager. The gm of the stars feels like he is finally a legitimate contender to win the Stanley cup and cant wait for the season to get underway. Even though the stars are content with the line up for opening night you best believe the gm will look to acquire a few depth players once he builds cap space as the season goes on. The stars are extremely happy that they added the best rated goalie in the league in Ben Bishop but the back up position is weak!!!! So look for them to make a move regarding that position in the near future.

Go Stars Go!!!
