As of the posting of this article Dustn Penner is still a Bruin but the winds are blowing large in what has been a bizarre afternoon. Bloggers were going bezerk a couple hours ago with news that the Bruins had dealt Tomas Vokoun, top goalie prospect Ondrej Pavlec and power forward and fan favorite Dustin Penner to an Eastern Conference team. And then all quiet. "Thats not how these things go down" explained Bruins GM Chris Ransom from a hotel in Ottawa where the Bruins prepare to take on the division leading Senators tonight. "Not sure how that rumor started but it is just that, a rumor". Sounds like another tall tale from the blogosphere.

In unrelated news, Tomas Vokoun gets the night off as backup Tobias Stephan gets the nod. Its his third start of the season and first since shutting out the Senators just under a month ago. Other notes, Danny Briere and Dustin Penner are back in the lineup after a back tweak for Danny and the end of a 5 game suspension for Penner. "It's good to be back in the lineup" said Penner minutes ago. When asked about the rumors on the net Penner replied "who dreams this crap up, i love playing in Boston and the fans love me, why the heck would the Bruins ruin that?"
