After a few days off to re-energize from their finals defeat, GM Ransom of the Boston Bruins was making news again announcing the aquisition of Mike Richards from the San Jose Sharks. Leaving beantown include Brian Little, prospect Nazem Kadri, the Bruins first round pick in this upcoming draft, Detroits first pick in the upcoming draft and third line winger Tim Kennedy. "A steep price but we moved one current roster player for another of much better caliber so we are a better team today than we were yesterday. Mike is one of those special centers who can carry a team and that is exactly what we expect him to do".

What this means for first line center Henrick Zetterberg remains to be seen. Rumors have him going West but it will likely be a long process if it does go down, Z has been a franchise player for the Bruins since coming over last summer so if he is leaving beantown it will take a lot. Other rumors have the Bruins close to adding another top 6 winger for Patrice Cormier and two picks, no word on who and what team but news should be coming out shortly. Until then, get your seatbelt on, its gonna be a busy summer in Boston.
