COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets came from behind to defeat the Atlanta Thrashers in tonight's pre-season game at Philips Arena. Leading the way for the Jackets were linemates LW Michael Grabner and C Olli Jokinen, who each recorded 1g, 2a in the Jackets' 5-3 win. The Grabner-Jokinen duo showed instant chemistry when coach Brent Sutter paired them together in training camp last week, and Jackets fans are already proclaiming that the duo is unstoppable. "The two seem to be on the same page in every aspect of the game, except defense. Jokinen doesn't know what to do on D, but offensively those two guys together are hard to stop with Jokinen's strength and Grabner's speed", said Jackets coach Sutter.

Today's game also marked the first Jackets appearance for newly acquired goalie Jaroslav Halak. Halak recorded the win by stopping 24 of 27 shots: "Atlanta's top 6 is very skilled, but I was able to see the pucks all night and wasn't really challenged", said Halak.

The Jackets play their second pre-season game tomorrow night when they face the Washington Capitals in D.C.
