Henrick Zetterberg become only the 11th player in NEFHL history to notch 400 points when on October 5th in Boston, the Big Z scored with 26 seconds left. A 3 point effort the next game moved him to 10th all time on the points list. "It's a great honor to reach 400 points, but I was more happy to get the win" said Zetterberg after an NEFHL staffer told him he had hit 400 points. "Winning the NEFHL Cup is all i am focused on right now, everything else is secondary".
The Bruins are off to a fast start running the table so far, Zetterberg has 9 points in 4 games, his line mate Martin St. Louis has 4 goals and 8 points and young gun Jamie Benn has 3 goals and 7 points. Not bad for a second line. "We have good chemistry, hopefully we can keep it going" said young Benn moments before Marty plastered his face with shaving cream. The team has a good mix of veterans and youngins which has made for an interesting dynamic in the dressing room. Coach Bryan Murray just shakes his head when he hears Eminem and Jay Z one day and then Neil Diamond the next "Musical tastes between generations can cause a few fights, but its all in good fun".
The Bruins now wait for Sundays rematch against the Washington Capitals for the second game in a home and home matchup. Sundays game will be only the Bruins second home game this young season. No news on the Jovanovski trade front, in a cap strapped league, moving top end players can be tough, for now Jovo is a Bruin.
