The Beast of Celedna makes a return to the arena

As the Predators face the LA Kings tonight, the Beast of Celedna is poised to make a return. Having been sidelined after only two games with his new team, Pavel Kubina is anxious to get back on the ice and help his new team: "They have brought me here to win and it's been frustrating to watch the guys battle from the sideline."

When the Predators made his acquisition, they were set to play him on their top pairing and as a huge part of their penalty kill unit. Without his stabilizing presence, the penalty kill has had mitigated success, sitting at the 23rd position in the league with an efficiency of 82.6%. Kubina is also set to revitalize the powerplay, which has gone from one of the top squads to a middle place with only 11.6% of efficiency. Playing big minutes and a big part of the special units, Kubina should help to lift Nashville higher than the .500 it is currently sitting at.
