After two long years, the Pittsburgh Penguins are finally back in the playoffs vying for a chance at the most coveted prize in hockey. The team is coming off their best regular season performance having tallied 97 points in 82 games - good enough for 5th place in the Eastern Conference. They face off against arguably the best team on paper in the NEFHL, The Winnipeg Jets.

The Pens will be dressing a perfectly healthy roster with two days of rest prior to the start of the series. The Pens management took every precaution necessary to ensure that their star players were healthy for what could be the best first round battle in NEFHL history.

"We've got our eye on the prize. We definitely want to come out strong and win at least one game in their building before coming home. The boys are fully aware of what the game plan is and now it's just a matter of execution," said head coach Dan Bylsma.

It is uncertain which direction the Penguins will go facing such a highly skilled opponent. At practice, Crosby skated between two different winger combinations. The first was between Lucic and Zuccarello, a line the Penguins utilized throughout the season to great success. The other pairing the captain worked with was Ladd and Jagr, a line that could be extremely explosive.

"It's nice to know that we have a number of looks and options to go with. Our staff is going to sit down and decided which combination we are going to go with for puck drop. That could all change though as the game progresses" Disco Dan added.

After such a long wait, the Penguins are eager to get things started here in Winnipeg.
