Mike Green saga

-Detroit, Michigan

After receiving an 8m/2 years offer sheet that cost us 4 1st round picks, Green's now an RFA. During that span of 2 years things didn't go well for Green. It was all downhill from there. Injurys and a more defensive system under Boudreau and Hunter afterwards have brought Green's offensive production down by a lot Everytime I watched him play he was never in the slot like he used too.He has a sick wrist shot. Boudreau and Hunter wanted him to focus on defense wich is not his game.He did win the Norris that year for best defenseman in the NEFHL tho. Now that he's an RFA how much of a paycut will he take to stay in Detroit? We are hoping to get him around 2 m/3 years. With a new coach next year in Washington and now healthy, Green might be able to play the style the game Washington used to play. ''Run and gun offense'' and put up 60+ pts..
