Nothing less than stellar has been the regular season 2012/13 for the New York Rangers. With 46 wins and 106 points the Rangers finished 3rd in the league and 2nd in the conference just 3 points behind the Devils.
"Its an amazing success for our franchise, as nobody expected us to be part of the postseason", said GM Matt Kaminski. And indeed the Rangers had a remarkable regular season and some great decisions made by the whole organisation.
Claiming D-men Tyutin and Brewer was one of these successful moves made by GM Kaminski. The claims not only got them some much needed cash, but also 2 valuable top-4 D-men which are usable for next season too. Also adding the forwards Mike Ribeiro, Troy Brouwer and Alex Killorn via trade will help the franchise a lot.
Asked about the post-season, Kaminski was tight-lipped: "Not much to comment about it. Let come the games and we will see how our group perfoms."
