Perry traded..WJC

-Detroit,Michigan

Corey Perry has been on the block forever..We have had talks with four other general managers but nothing came really close for me to move him..We had an offer that we really liked but we had to wait for that gm to make another move to make it happen..unfortunately it didn't happen...Today we got really close of a deal but just fell a piece short..Would of had been a blockbuster deal..With the year Perry is having we feel like now our best move is to just keep him and build around im for years to come..He's on pace to score fifty goals in the NHL and he's one of the reasons why Anaheim is doing so well..We feel like our best move should wait at the 41 games played mark and trade some of the guys i signed to help out cutting some cap space..

The organisation of the red wings really like this time of the year..WJC hockey..This year the organisation sent out a few of them..We are very happy with the way we have been drafting the past 2 years and now we get to see what they could do on the big stage..We have 4 canadians prospects in Frederik Gauthier,Curtis Lazar,Taylor Leier and Charles Hudon..Emile Poirier just missed the cut and Sean Monahan didn't join them since Calgary didn't let him go...Martin Reway is also there playing for the slovaks,Patrick Sieloff should of had been playing for the us but is injured..

Hopefully Canada wins the gold medal this year!!
