Wings off to a great start...

-Detroit, Michigan

After having a good playoff run last year where we lost in the conference finals in game 7 to mastermind Drew expectations were high for this year...We felt that our leaders played a huge part for our run last year so we decided to bring them back...We tried all summer to sign Marleau to a 4 year deal but he wouldn't bite..We had to give him a 2 year contract that will bring him to UFA status wich is the same amount of years Z has left on his contract...Decisions will have to be made in the near future but for now all we want is a shot at Lord Stanley..The Wings are off to a great start so far with a record of 21-5-5-1 and 48 points for 2nd best team in the NEFHL wich i didn't really expect from my team and the play of Pavy...Pavelec has been lights out all year leading the league in almost every categories and has been brought up in some MVP discussions lately...The system Hartley has put in place since joining the organisation has work really well...My defense wich is suppose to be our weakness is 2nd in PK, 1st in GA/G, 7th SA/G ... My shutdown line of Doan-Z-Pomminville has been one of the best 2 way lines in the NEFHL wich could explain why our defensive game has been better this year..
