Oh my god, oh Carey

What a year for the best rated goaltender in the NEFHL, Carey Price. Best goals agains average (1.71), best Save percentage (.934) and 2nd most shutouts (4) of all starting goalies in the league. Its no secret, Carey Price is the MVP of the 2015/16 New York Rangers.

"Even in practice its tough to score when he is in net", admitted Rangers topscorer James vanRiemsdyk. Indeed Carey Price has rarely allowed any team to score more than one goal against him.

"If Carey didnt have injury problems, we probably would be better in the standings", GM Kaminski said. Price already missed 9 games due to injury this season. Not only in the NHL but als in the NEFHL he seems to be a fragile and a band aid boy.

Thats exactly when new Rangers nurse Wanda Vuck comes into play. "Since she works with our players, Carey didnt miss any game. I dont know her secret, but as long as it works, i dont need to know the details", Kaminski added.

But as good as Carey Price is, its clear right now, that his DU rating will be worse for next season. As back-up goalie Niklas Svedberg has signed a contract in europe and the Rangers only own 3 young promising unproven tenders, it looks like at least in the offseason, the Rangers will look for some veteran help in net.

"We are very satisfied with our young netminders Forsberg, Hawkey and Madsen", Kaminski added. Especially last week signing of Merrick Madsen makes Kaminski happy. "We have been very very surprised to get him signed. Maybe some other teams have not known about his avaibility."

As long as Crey Price will be healthy, he will carry the Rangers on his shoulders. But if he needs some rest or gets injured again, the Rangers will be a mediocre hockey team. Probably Price is the leagues MVP right now.
