What is a prospect?

Detroit,Michigan

The Red Wings organistion aren't really loaded with prospects since we always traded our picks away to compete in the NEFHL and trade for more proven talent..We haven't really had a trade that i regret doing in terms of my prospects but the one that was scaring me the most was trading away Curtis Lazar..We were so hyped when we moved down to grab him but we couldn't pass on landing a young power forward in Evander Kane...Lazar hasn't really pan out yet and is only 20 years old but after seeing him play for a year and a half i am very happy with Kane even tho he's out for the season..A few years back we really wanted Charles Hudon but fkn Fekete landed picking him up 3 or 4 picks before mine...I was so pissed and traded away two 4 rounders to get him wich i thought was expensive but i needed him...4 years later he gets his first call up and has an assists...He's now played 2 games with Montreal and has 2 assists in 2 games...We feel he could become a very useful top 6 player with high hockey IQ...His size shouldn't bother either since he plays bigger then he really his...One of my favorite prospects all time is now playing his full year in the NEFHL in Sean Monahan and having a good season...He's on pace to win that rookie of the year award...The other one of my favorite prospects isnt developping as fast as i thought he would....injuries really hurt him but he saw a few games last year with Calgary...Poirier isnt having a good year in the A this year but i really havent followed any hockey at all this year not even the NHL...Not sure if he's hurt or just somophore slump but i'm sure he's not gonna be a ''bust''...too much speed and hands for that to happen...

We don't have a lot of prospects but the ones we got are starting to pan out
