Columbus, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets were off to a roaring start this year and were leading the entire league in the early goings. But as per usual, reality struck and now the Jackets find themselves pretty comfortably in the middle of the pack. Oh well.

The real story however surrounds the Jackets' farm team, the Monsters, who are completely destroying the NEFAHL. In 37 games played, the team has 180 goals for (4.86 per game) and 75 goals against (2.03 per game). That's ridiculous, and it's no wonder the Monsters are a full 6 points ahead of the next best team in the entire league. Currently, the top 5 point producers in the lower division are:

S. Prince (CBJ): 37GP, 36PTS

B. Bennett (NSH): 30GP, 34PTS

N. Dowd (CBJ): 37GP, 34PTS

C. Brown (CBJ): 37GP, 33 PTS

S. Watson (NJD): 35GP, 32PTS

In goal, the Jackets farm team's starting goaltender, L. Soderstrom, has posted an impressive 1.70GAA in 20GP.

Other developments out of Columbus include the relocation of the Jackets' front office, from its rural outpost in Deep River, Ontario to a more strategic location just a few doors down from the NEFHL headquarters in Ottawa. This move will facilitate GM-Eric's efforts to lobby the NEFHL on a number of issues, none more important than continuing to allow the Jackets to write shitty, pointless articles provided they hit the minimum word count. Speaking of which, this current article is gonna be just right, provided I keep typing just a bit longer. There we go. Merry Christmas y'all.
