Changes looming

-Detroit, Michigan

After a promising off-season the Red Wings barely sits in a playoff spot..After substaining a lot of injuries trueout the first 41 games we are now on pace to finish overcap at the end of the year wich means that changes are likely comming... Names like Stafford, Plecky, Stuart, Martinez, Abdelkader are likely the ones moving for future assets... Our forward core is decent with Mony and Eberle and a few good prospects but we really need to work on rebuilding our prospects pool...We feel that Abdel and Martinez can bring us 1st round picks because of their ratings and contracts...With already owning 2 of them in 2017 we could possibly have 4 of them comes the trade deadline  like we did a few years ago wich would help the rebuild move faster...

If we have a decent chance at racking the division we will likely stay put and only move a player or 2 to not finish overcap and try to grab cheaper alternative to try to stay competetive and go on a playoff run...The next few weeks will likely determine wich way we should go but the smart move would be to sale everyone to help the future...Knowing me we never made the right decisions so time will tell...Our goal is to still win the division, make the playoff and go on a run because missing the playoffs in the Nefhl means a long summer and off-season...The only year i missed the playoffs i actually almost quit but happy i stayed...Now i'm one strike away of being out and with 14 hours shift i'm sure i won't last wich is sad...
