Columbus, Ohio -- The Jackets are going to look a little different come September. With many key players in line for raises, the roster will have to be juggle in order to fit everyone in under the cap. There will also need to be an infusion of youth in the bottom part of the lineup if there's any hope for us to be compliant at the end of the season.

The top line is possibly going to be made up of Steen - Little - Kucherov. This would provide a nice balance of passing, scoring and defense. The second line could be comprised of Sheary - Nielsen - Rakell which is also a fairly balance group. Rakell was blessed with a phenomenal rerate this summer and could end up being a very high point-producing forward in 2017-18. Palat took a bit of a hit but he's still quite useful. The third and fourth lines are anyone's guess; what is known is that Ritchie, Palat, and Brown will be featured players that could easily move up to top 6 roles in the event of injuries.

On the blueline we will be dressing Brodie - Niskanen, Russell - Severson, and who knows about the third pair.

The biggest issue we face at the moment is in goal. Jaro Halak is complete garbage and costs a ton, so we will try to unload him later this summer and if possible bring in a legitimate starter. We aren't afraid of paying a high price for a good young goalie, so any teams reading this are welcome to contact us.
