There Goes The Neighbourhood

Chris Ransom walks into his new digsJust when you thought things could not get any more bizarre today in the NEFHL, a cool, stiff breeze has blown into town. That breeze is Chris Ransom, who was introduced today as the new General Manager of the Boston Bruins.

The announcement took the NEFHL a little by surprise as GM Eric Lavoie had yet to announce he was stepping down for personal reasons. One General Manager was outraged saying "Is this a joke or serious. Pretty dumb way to introduce yourself to the league as the GM of the team who just came in first in the league the year before. Why was Eric fired?". In fact Eric was not fired and will stay on as the Bruins Assistant GM.
After winning the Presidents Trophy as best regular season team, the Bruins got dumped in the first round by the eighth seeded Rangers in seven games. Lots of disappointment, lots of work to do in the off season as the new GM addressed the media moments after taking charge "one thing i am going to do is be very aggressive right away, i'm an experienced GM and have some ideas already on how i am going to improve this team going into next season and beyond. This is an amazing league and i'm stoked to be apart of it. It's been a long day so i'll address some off season plan after the finals end".
