Rangers stay positive

"Sure losing game 7 is always a downer but we again had a great season and we will be good in the future", was the main statement of GM Kaminski after the elimination in round 1.

With 44 wins and 101 points in the regular season the Rangers won another diviion title. With 206 goals againt the Rangers own the 5th best goals against average, while they scored 237 goals (13th best in the league). "We know we have to improve our offensive game but with Bailey, Brown, Zucker, Karlsson and Neal we have a strong group of offensive players for next year", Kaminski added.

Also the D-group is solid and will have some cornerstones for next season: Greene, Yandle, Gardiner and Braun are solid contributors offensively and defensively.

Only in goal the future of the Rangers is questionable. Craig Anderson who had a strong season will maybe even exposed to the upcoming expansion draft. But Aaron Dell will not be a solid starter. So it will be interesting to see what the Rangers will do. With Madsen, Hawkey, Forsberg and Georgiev the Rangetrs have some promising young guys in the Pipeline. It will be the main question during summer who the Rangers will protect in goal while its no secret that they will use the 1-3-7 option for the upcoming expansion.

As of today the Rangers will protect:

Goal: ??
D: Braun, Gardiner, Yandle
F: Karlsson, Pearson, Zucker, Bailey, Brown, Neal, Pageau,

Preparing for the NEFHL entry draft the Rangers dont own many picks. "Its like every year, we cant travel to the live draft, so its better to trade some picks away to make other GMs happy", Kaminski said.
