Rangers prepare for next season (Part 2)

After the first part with some reviews and the goaltending situation of the NEFHL New York Rangers today we will have a deeper look into the Rangers defence and forward group for the updoming season.

As always the Rangers wont become an offensive powerhouse but first time in the NEFHL the Rangers have a great group of offensive players with some good rerates. Indeed the Rangers have 7 forwards with the possibility to play in the top-6.

"We wil try to spread out our offensive weapons and looking to ice at least 3 dangerous lines:

At Center: With William Karlsson the Rangers now have a real #1 Center, something they were lacking all the years, He was coming to the Rangery via Buffalo in the Carey Price deal. "That really worked out for us, especially as he comes with a  year 700k contract". Kaminski smiled. To lead the 2nd line will be the duty of big "Jumbo Joe". "Sure he is old, sure his DU is low, but he still knows how to pass the puck."
For the bottom-6 the Rangers have Boyle and Pageau, definitely 2 of the better ones for this challenge.

The LW depth chart is solid too: As a loyality resigning the Rangers try to keep Dustin Brown. "We kno- w he will ask for a big contract and we try to find a good solution. If his agent is smart, we will find a good way for both sites. Same story is about Jason Zucker, an unsigned RFA. For the 2 bottom lines the Rangers plan to use Tanner Pearson and Trevor Lewis.

At RW Josh Bailey and James Neal are very talented scoring wingers with great rerates. Both are signed. For the bottom lines they have Richard Panik and Brett Connolly under contract. "We are very pleased with what we have, but sure we need to sind a way to get everything under the cap. We work in that and have some options."

So at the moment the Rangers forward lines looks like:

Brown - Karlsson - Bailey
Zucker - Thornton - Neal
Pearson - Boyle - Panik
Lewis - Pageau - Connolly

Part 3 will have a deeper look into the Rangersdefensive group!
