It took six games for Yegor Sharangovich to score his first goal in the NEFHL. In the real world he is already at 24 goals. "We tried to get him in slowly to adjust the best possible way"; GM Kaminski explained.
After 4 pointless games in 2021 with varying icetime from 6 to 17 minutes, he started to produce in his 5th game and 18 minutes icetime on the topline. Two assists vs the Ducks have been his first NEFHL points. Yesterday he got again 18 minutes on the topline, caused by the injury to Alex Iafallo.
12.39 into the 2nd period of yesterdays game vs the Islanders he scored his first after a nice passing sequence of Tanner Pearson and Jared Spurgeon. It was the go ahead goal for a final 5-2 win against the archrival.
"I have to thank my teammates. Spurge passed the puck hard to Tango and he directed it straight to me. So it was easy to put the puck behind Binnington. Iam happy and hope many goals will come in the future", Sharangovich said after the game.
The goal puck was collected by TJ Oshie. "I hope it will be a good memory for him the whole life", Oshie said.
But it looks like Sharangovich will be send down again when Iafallo returns. "Well he will be in from time to time and as long as it works out like the last two games, he is very welcomed to stay with us", Kaminski added.
Sidenote: "You know what even was the best after my first goal", Sharangovich asked retorically. "Vandas treatment", he smiled.
