Sundin Leaving Motor City

Two days after getting the job as the GM of the Detroit Red Wings, Anthony Neilson has already shook things up and has traded his number one Centerman, Mats Sundin and shipped him out to Nashville. "We were in a tight spot, and needed to lose some salary so we had no choice but to deal Sundin" Says Anthony, on the day of the trade. The Wings picked up gritty centerman Jason Arnott, a 1st round draft pick and young defensive prospect Andrew Alberts. Going to Nashville was Mats Sundin and a 4th round selection. Overall the Wings lost 2.6 million dollars in salary, and now can bring up thier young star Mike Ribiero form the minors, since the team couldn't afford him under the cap before the deal. "We will just have to see how this deal plays out, i will have faith in these group of guys, i believe they can get it done."
