Doug Weight Puts Predators on the Prowl

Since Doug Weight was acquired from the New York Rangers in a deal that saw Mats Sundin head to the Blueshirts, the Nashville Predators 1st line, and for that matter the whole team, has seen an offensive renaissance.

In 5 games with the Preds, Weight has 1 goal, 7 assists and +8.
His passing, not his scoring is what the Preds desperately needed and linemates Jason Blake and Shane Doan have benefitted scoring 5 and 3 goals respectively in the last 5 games.

The team as a whole has also scored 18 goals in those 5 games. Not bad for a team who struggled offensively under the hands of Arnott and Sundin at C on the 1st.

Welcome to Nashville Doug!!!
