Huge Loss Against Rivalry Team!

The NY rangers have lost their worst game of the season 8-3 against New York fierce competitor the Islanders.   Trailing 2-1 after 2 periods made possible  a come back however in the third period every thing crumbled when 6 goals were scored in matter of 10 minutes.   Scott Niedermayer finished with a -3 and Brian Marchment had gotten a misconduct penalty which the Islanders took advantage of.   Lindy Ruff, displeased of what he had seen in the 3rd period came to talk upon 2 things that had changed the tempo of the game, 1st too many penalties, and second the lack of discipline from his first line unit and Brian Marchment who really needs to control his behavior in the defensive zone!

"It has been my worst game so far after a great start at Madison Square Garden"  - Brian Marchment.

One hypothesis seen from the NY Rangers Gm is the incredible speed of Ilya Kovalchuk against his slower d-men such as Jason Doig &  Brian Marchment who had to hook all night in order to stop the Islanders.

Coach Lindy Ruff says that they will bounce back in their next game however an early pratice will be held tommorow morning so that his team will be fully prepared.
