Tough winger dealt in the big apple

Couple of days ago Alexandre Daigle of the NY Rangers was traded to columbus bluejacket for powerful winger Owen Nolan. This trade was made in order to bring leadership and strength to our wingers and help out mainly our first 2 lines. Despite of his high salary of 5 millions versus barely under 1 million with alexandre daigle, we decided to make this deal even though we are aware that there is a slight chance that owen nolan comes back next year and if so we will have a room of 5 millions dollars and if by miracle he comes back his contract finishes at the end of the current year therefore we will surely negotiate for a cheaper price. - NY rangers GM

"daigle was no more in our plan and we think this is the best situation for both players"
