Sharks resting, waiting

After disposing the Nashville Predators in 4 games the San Jose Sharks are resting and waiting for round one to finish and round two to begin.
While some say a long break between games is not a very good idea in the playoffs the Sharks are welcoming the extended break because of the groin injury Mike Richards received in game 3.

"The longer the break the quicker Mike gets back in the next round" said Sharks coach Michel Therrien.

Richards has yet to get back on skates but expects to get back skating with the team in about a week.

"It feels better, I hope I can get back sooner rather than later but there is a time line with these sort of injuries and we can't afford to risk it" that was Mike Richards on a conference call Wednesday afternoon.

While round 1 finishes and round 2 begins, San Jose could be off anywhere between 3 and 5 more days. This time off would likely mean Richards could be back late in round two.
