SOB to set tone

Shane O'Brien was acquired for only one purpose and that is to punish opponents.

The 6'2, 230lb defemseman is one of the most imposing forces in the NEFHL. The last two seasons he has put up some very impressive numbers, in 2008-09 82GP 195PIM 132PIM along with 34 points. The year before in Florida 77GP 175PIM 152Hits and he won a cup that season as a top four defenseman. He's coming into Buffalo to bring the same game that has made him a valuable NEFHL piece.

GM Kevin Fuhr made the following comment about him, "He's a nasty defenseman who loves to fight and impose his will on opponents. We expect him to be a 20 minute a night guy for us and add protection to our more softer players. Tonight he will be playing against Montreal and we expect him to set the tone, I hope players like Modin and Weiss keep there head up. It will be fun."

The Saberes begin their season tonight as they take on Montreal.
