Bruins and Stars

The Boston Bruins begin their first road trip of the season as they landed in Dallas late Thursday night. After a succesful home stand to begin the season with a 3-1-1 record, the Bruins hope that they can continue their good play during a road swing that sees them play 4 of the next 5 games on the road. The Stars and Bruins made a swap of goalers during the off season sending Ilya Bryzgalov to the Stars for veteran netminder Nikolai Khabibulin. So far the trade has worked dividens for both clubs with Bryz posting a 2.50 GAA and .907 save percentage while Khabby is sporting a 1.57 GAA and .939 save percentage.

Another off season aquisition Duncan Keith, has fit right in as well leading the team in minutes played per game, plus/minus and points. "Duncan Keith has been a beast for us and we will continue to play him as much as we can, he seems to thrive on player 30 plus minutes a game". The lineup for the Bruins looks to be the same as last game with the fourth line duo of Tim Kennedy and David VanDerGulik staying in tact after a tremendous game against Colorado. On the Stars injury front, Ben Eager and Patrice Bergeron are out while Nik Antropuff and Manny Malholtra remain contract hold outs.
