The Hurricanes and Stamkos have finally come together on a deal. The team and the player have agreed on a two-year deal that will see Stamkos make $7,400,000 a season.

Steven Stamkos accepts Hurricanes offer. He signs a 2-year deal worth $14,800,000 ($7,400,000 per year)

Have to imagine going into the off-season the Hurricanes were not expecting his contract to get that high. Stamkos will be a UFA at the end of his deal in two years. The Hurricanes will have to deal with John Tavares as their UFA loyalty next summer.

More signings from around the league:

Peter Budaj accepts Ducks offer. He signs a 4-year deal worth $2,600,000 ($650,000 per year)

Niklas Kronwall accepts Capitals offer. He signs a 4-year deal worth $6,000,000 ($1,500,000 per year)

Darren Helm accepts Golden Knights offer. He signs a 2-year deal worth $3,000,000 ($1,500,000 per year)

Trevor Carrick accepts Sabres offer. He signs a 1-year deal worth $950,000 ($950,000 per year)

The remaining signings from this week will be announced on twitter tonight and tomorrow. A few of the bigger name players are off the board and have reportedly signed contracts but one of the big fish on the market is still undecided because of all the demand.
