Flyers Top 50 Prospects

Here are our top 50 prospects, with quick write-ups for the top 20. High on successful defensemen right now which will be a nice luxary moving forward.

- Oskar Lindblom - LW - - Previous: 1 - About to burst into the NEFHL with 76SC. Potential Calder candidate. Lindbolm is a warrior and will be an integral part of the Flyer's franchise for numerous years as a top 6 forward.

- Gabriel Vilardi - C - - Previous: 3 - Vilardi has elite top line talent. He's had some bad luck with injuries previously and just when starting to light up the NHL, things are shutdown thanks to Covid. Vilardi is likely a top line center for the next 15+ years.

- Adam Fox - D - - Previous: NEW - Acquired from the Flames in the Rantanen trade, Fox is ready to step in as a top 4 dman now, and has the potential to be one of leagues premier offensive dmen.

- John Marino - D - - Previous: 4 - Marino was a mid-season signing by the Flyers last year, and took off from there! Marino has proven himself to be one of the Pens best dmen this past season and used in all situations. Top pairing guy NEFHL potential and will be important player this season for the Flyers.

- Ethan Bear - D - - Previous: 7 - A 2015 4th rounder breaking into the NHL as a top pairing guy and showing he can be used in any role. Should be a staple of the Flyers top 4 on defense for many years. Will be 1 of 3 rookie dmen in the lineup for the coming season.

- Nicolas Hague - D - - Previous: 5 - A giant dman that can skate, shoot, and shutdown. Potential to be Chara like impact player. Will develop one more season before joining the roster as a regular.

- Tyson Jost - C - - Previous: 5 - The 22 year old, former 10th overall to the Avs, now has 3 NHL seasons under his belt, where he's improved each year. I think the coming year is where he finally breaks out for 20+ goals and 40+ points to go with his improved defensive play.

- Jordan Greenway - LW - - Previous: 6 - Jordan will be slotting on the 3rd line as he's developed nicely into a two-way power forward. Has the potential to be a top line player in the near future.

- Jonatan Berggren - C - - Previous: 8 - Extremely slick skating and two-way playmaking center. Has a lot going for him and is likely to be contributor as soon as he comes to the NHL.

- Egor Afanasyev - LW - - Previous: NEW - Egor, recently added from the Flames, joined the Windsor Spitfires as an OHL rookie and led his team for goals and points. He's a large LW with potential to be a top line forward.

- Alexander Alexeyev - D - - Previous: 9 - Big Russian dman that has all the tools, offense, size, smarts, and strength to be a top pairing dman in the NEFHL.

- Yegor Zamula - D - - Previous: 25 - Undrafted in NHL, Yegor's stock has jumped a lot over the past couple years showing he an put up points and shutdown top players. Had a great juniors and is big lanky dman that can still fill out.

- Dennis Gilbert - D - - Previous: 12 - Already getting his NHL shot, Gilbert is a tough defensive dman that is likely to have a full NHL career doing just that. Not a top pairing guy though.

- Martin Chromiak - RW - - Previous: NEW - Our first 2020 draftee to make the list. He came in part way into Frontenacs season and produced over a PPG. He's not Shane Wright good, but Chromiak has top six potential.

- Serron Noel - RW - - Previous: NEW - Also acquired in the Flames deal is Serron Noel, former 1st rounder by the Flames at 20th overall. Size, strength, speed, and some decent hands. Potential to be a top 6 power forward.

- Carter Savoie - LW - - Previous: NEW - A 2nd rounder coming from the Flames, Savoie put up 53 goals and 99 points in 54 games in the AJHL. Offensive potential!

- Theodor Niederbach - C - - Previous: NEW - For our 2nd pick of the draft, 74th overall: "As a highly skilled and incredibly smart center, Theodor Niederbach has the offensive toolset to be a first-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft. His hockey IQ is off the charts, as he is able to use his speed and skill to create a goal-scoring chance out of seemingly nothing."

- Nathan Schnarr - C - - Previous: 11 - After great finish to OHL career, Nate had a decent rookie season in the AHL, slightly disrupted when was traded for Taylor Hall. Big center with good skills, good bet for a middle 6 NEFHL center.

- Julius Nattinen - C - - Previous: 15 - Led the Swedish league for goals and one of top point producers as well. Julius has the size, skating, skill, and defensive awareness to convert to an NHL top line center.

- Jakub Zboril - D - - Previous: 10 - Zboril keeps falling down my list, although not a write-off yet. He hasn't dominated the AHL, but he's been solid. He's shown he's probably ready for the NHL, but Boston hasn't done a good development job. Good chance can still be a NEFHL dman, but top pairing unlikely at this point.
