Hello Blues Fans,
Just a few little updates to tide you over:
Just a few little updates to tide you over:
1. Luke Evangelista made his NHL debut with the Preds last night. Got a primary assist on the powerplay. Nice little tap tap with Duchene. THe Preds had him playing the bumper which is apparently where he played on the Admirals PP.
Played just under 13 minutes overall and was even on the night win a 2-1 preds win!
2. Another bit of a weird stat - Gambrell who had all of 1 point in his first 34 games now has 4 points in his last 6 and 3 in his last 3. He seems to have a bump in icetime as well. I don't follow the Sens close enough but looks like he may have been moved up to the 3rd line.
I doubt he'll ever be more than a 4th liner but I'll take it.
3. The Blues wern't big players at the deadline but did move top point getter Viktor Arvidsson in a 3 team deal involving the Avalance and Flames. In return for the soon to be UFA the Blues got leading OHL point getter Matthew Maggio and 2024 LOS 3rd rounder. He was orignally a 5th rounder in the 2022 NHL draft and leads the OHL in scoring.
4. The Blues own the top 3 PPG producers in the OHL:

1. Shane Wright (C)Seattle Kraken Windsor Spitfires 10 8 11 19 1.90 2 2
2. Brandt Clarke (D)Los Angeles Kings Barrie Colts 23 15 27 42 1.83 22 25
3. Matthew Maggio (RW)New York Islanders Windsor Spitfires 56 46 49 95 1.70 26 4
6. Brandt Clarke now sits 14th in OHL scoring by Dmen. In only 23 GP. He got a hat trick last night.
7. Talking about points per game. The Blues also own the rights to the top QMJHL point getter as well in Jordan Dumais.
