The Pittsburgh Penguins have upgraded their roster by adding two-way heart and soul man, Andrew Ladd. A threat at both ends of the ice, Andrew is now threatening Evgeni Malkin for the ugliest man in the room award as voted by the team. The "Tyler Kennedy" award is handed out to the fugliest or fucking ugliest player on the team. Last year, Geno unanimously took home the prize but Ladd hopes to change that.

Accompanying Ladd back to Pittsburgh is the Blue Jackets third round pick in the 2012 draft - a pick the Pens hope will be an early one.

"We've added a guy who can score, setup plays, drop the gloves, and kill penalties. Andrew is the kind of player you want on the ice during the crucial moments of a big game. We feel that he brings intangibles to the table that we are lacking. The pick coming back our way should turn out to be a nice looking prospect given our track record at the draft table. It's a great deal for us moving forward and looking at the playoff picture." said the Penguins GM.

Leaving town are highly touted prospects Ryan Spooner and Jason Zucker, along with Gold medalist Petter Granberg.

"It's really tough to part with prospects we envisioned would be impact players for us in the future. The emergence of guys like Jeff Skinner and Sean Couturier made this deal a little easier. Not to mention the other tremendous forward prospects we have in our system. That said it's tough to move prospects that we feel have a bright future ahead of them in the NEFHL. We wish them the best of luck in Toronto."

Ladd will be in the Penguins lineup Monday night when the Pens set to square off against the Boston Bruins.
