The Pittsburgh Penguins will have to make due without the leagues leading scorer, Sidney Crosby, for the next 4-6 weeks due to a broken fibula. Crosby has been a menace so far this year and has led his team towards the top of the league standings. The leagues leading goal scorer and likely MVP winner was the highest vote getter for the Easter Conference and was slated to be the starting centre of the team.

"It sucks going down on a play like that. Buff and I collided in the corner and his 255 lbs came barreling down on leg. I am just thankful that it wasn't something more serious. I am confident that the boys will be able to pull through without me" Crosby said about his injury.

To make matters worse, Evgeni Malkin was hurt Monday night in Boston. Geno skated lightly today in practice but is still day-to-day with a groin injury.

The Pens will have to rely on their team depth without their two marque forwards.  The team hosts the Jets on Sunday followed by the Lightning on Monday.
