After losing game 1 8-3 in lineup-gate, the Canadiens game back to win game 7 to take the round 1 against the Rangers.  The Canadiens took 3 of the last 4, including 2 in OT to overcome a screw up by coach Guletzen where he turned in the wrong lineup card for game 1.

Mike Smith, Joe Pavelski and Erik Condra led the charge, and put the game out of reach early in the 2nd period.  Smith made 27 saves and the PP went 3-3 after Foligno took a spot on the second unit with Hagelin out for game 7.  "we came out and wanted to take the crowd out of the game, and that's what we did," stated captain Shane Doan.  He continued, "I know this is probably my last season in Montreal, and I didn't want to go take off that sweater for the last time yet."

Coach Guletzen said the team would not go back to Montreal Monday night, but instead take a short flight to Buffalo to get ready for Game 1 on Wednesday night.  The players would get Tuesday off before a quick skate on Wednesday morning.  He also was unsure on Hagelin's status for Game 1, but assumed he would not be ready.

Just like round 1, this will be a rematch of a previous playoff series, and like last time, the Canadiens got the better of the opponent the first time.  This is a different Sabres team though, and they are also riding a high after coming back for a series deficit in taking out the Leafs.
