1. Noah Dobson (D) - Future top pair D in the NEFHL in a few years. He is the kind of guy that can eat a lot of minutes and play in all situations. Should be one of the cornerstones of the franchise on the back end.
2. Henri Jokiharju (D) - Future top pair D in the NEFHL, possible as soon as next season. A smaller version of Dobson, but should be able to play in all situations and will be another cornerstone of the franchise on the back end.
3. Michael Rasmussen (C) - Top line C in the NEFHL, possibly next season. Big strong C that will crash the net and put up a lot of points. Turned it up a notch in the WHL playoffs last year with 2.5 ppg
4. Julius Honka (D) - Second pair D in the NEFHL in 2019. He should finally have an every day role for the Dallas Stars this year, and will get some pp time. Needs to work on his defensive game still, but should main the 2nd pp next season.
5. German Rubtsov (C) - 2nd line C in the NEFHL in a couple of years. HE plays a strong 2 way game but injuries have delayed his progress the last couple of years. This season will be a big one as Rubtsov needs to take that next step forward.
6. Esa Lindell (D) - Esa already has a couple of NHL seasons under his belt, but this will be his rookie season in the NEFHL. He should eventually become a good shutdown guy to pair with an offensive Dman like Honka, and he will chip in 20 points a season.
7. Jacob Olofsson (C) - Needs to work on his skating some, and if that improves he could become a strong 2 way 2nd line C. Played against men this past season and held his own, and followed that up with a strong prospect camp. He could move up this list into the top 5 with a strong season.
8. Victor Ejdsell (C) - Has a strong chance to play with Patrick Kane this season, and if he can stick there he would become a good 2nd line W in the NEFHL next season. Victor is still growing into his frame, and he already plays a strong 2 way game.
9. Lucas Johansen (D) - Drafted for his offense, that side of his game has stagnated of late and he had a so-so first year in the AHL. A lot of D have trouble transitioning to the pro game that first year, so as long as there is improvement this season there will be nothing to worry about long term. He looks to be a 2nd pair D man in the NEFHL in a couple of seasons.
10. Filip Hallander (C) - A teammate of Jacob Olofson in Sweden and he is a very similar player. A strong 2 way C that could play on the 2nd line, but most likely is destined to be a 3rd liner with top PK time.
11. Gabriel Carlsson (D) - Big bodied stay at home defenseman that should get regular NHL minutes this season and be ready for 3rd pair time in the NEFHL next year. There will never be a lot of offense coming from Gabriel, but he will be a key to a PK unit.
12. Luc Snuggerud (D) - Luc played 3 years in college and just finished up his first year in the AHL. He could be a future 3rd pairing defenseman, but the Blackhawks are loaded at D, so getting NHL time this year will be tough. Expect bigger minutes in the AHL this year and best case has him playing in the NEFHL in 2020
13. Stuart Skinner (G) - The top Goalie prospect in the system, but he is a few years away. He had an up and down campaign in the WHL this past season, but finished very strong in the playoffs. He has good size to be an NHL G, and could be a NHL backup in a couple of seasons.
14. Christian Jaros (D) - A lot like Carlsson, but with a little more offensive touch. Should get into a lot of games with the Senators this year as they rebuild, and could be a call up D next season in the NEFHL before taking on a full time role in 2020.
15. Vladislav Gavrikov (D) - Vladislav could be another big shutdown defender that is paired with a high end offensive talent in the NEFHL one day, but that depends on when he comes over from the KHL. Columbus hopes its next year, and if that is the case, look for him to be in the NEFHL in 2020.
16. Jared McIsaac (D) - While his defensive game and hockey sense keeps improving, his offensive game is not coming along like most had predicted. He is still someone who could play 2nd line minutes with the right partner in a few years, but if his offensive game ever clicks, he is someone who could play on the top pair.
17. Martin Fehervary (D) - Another big defensive defeseman that will have a future in the NEFHL in a few years. There will never be a lot of offense from Martin, but he will keep the other team off of the board and will be a good partner for a top notch offensive D.
18. Lukas Dostal (G) - The second G on the list was a recent draft pick who will be plying in the top Czech league this upcoming season. We will know more about it this time next year.
19. Kerby Rychel (LW) - There were a lot of high hopes when Kerby was drafted in 2013, but he has never lived up to those expectations. He is on his third team in 4 years and this is probably his last chance to prove he belongs in the NHL and not just an AHL All Star.
20. Caleb Jones (D) - Seth's little brother could be a bottom pair D in the NEFHL in a couple of years. After finishing his WHL career on a high note averaging 1 ppg, he had a slow start to his AHL career. If he can double his point total from last season, he will put himself back into the Oilers future plans
