From the Athletic “NHL Player Tiers for 2023-24”, we have taken those rankings and applied it to the NEFHL Rosters. Note: Goalies were not ranked.

The tiers are as follows:
MVP = trophy consideration year in and year out, top players, build a franchise around.(1A, 1B and 1C)
Franchise = a top 32 skater, elite top line forward or number one defenseman (2A, 2B and 2C)
All Star = a top 60 skater, a good top line forward or average number one defenseman (3A, 3B and 3C)
Top Line = a top 125 skater, below average top line forward or average top pair defenseman (4A, 4B, 4C and 4D)

Point system is as follows:
1A = 13 points, 1B = 12 points, 1C = 11 points, 2A = 10 points, 2B = 9 points, 2C = 8 points, 3A = 7 points, 3B = 6 points, 3C = 5 points, 4A = 4 points, 4B = 3 points, 4C = 2 points and 4D = 1 point
